October 18, 2016, my friend, Jessica, was in a terrible car accident. She lost control of her vehicle on her way home from work and the vehicle rolled several times. Her injuries were substantial. She suffered 11 broken vertebras, broken rib, broken femur, broken pelvis, crushed her right arm, lacerated liver and collapsed lung. She has since gone through several surgeries. Jes on her way home to her two boys who luckily weren't in the vehicle with her. She was airlifted to SLU hospital where she woke up two days later in shock. Her husband, Jason, stayed beside her in the hospital the whole time. While her two sons, Eli who is turning a year this month, and Emery who is 4, are both being cared for by grandparents. Jes won't walk for 2-3 months. She will have to go to a care facility and then to a rehab facility before she's gets to go home to be with her little ones. Insurance won't cover most of this care. And with Jes being out of work for months, just keeping up with the mortgage and other bills is going to be a huge financial burden if they are even able to keep up. She needs this time for recovering so she can get back home to her family without the worry of this huge financial burden. Please help relieve Jes of this burden so she can focus on healing!
