Hello all. My name is Sam Pok. The time has come for me to start the process of getting a new prosthetic leg. Not everyone knows I am missing part of my right leg below my knee. I was born with this deformity and I have had almost 33 years of practice to walk normal. This is the main reason why I do not park in handicap parking because 9 out of 10 times, I do get criticized when I step out of my vehicle. I've recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Between the medication, the numerous doctor visits/checkups, and my horrible insurance plan, I have used most of my money to stay healthy and eat healthy. I've lost around 40 pounds in a few months. I've had to buy a whole new wardrobe. I forgot how expensive clothing was! Since my body has slimmed, I don't fit into my prosthetic leg anymore. Every step I take is very painful. I've had this leg for over 15 years. It's time for a new one. I never ask for money for personal gain. I just want to be able to walk without pain. I don't take the ability to walk for granted.
