Lucas was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on December 20th. He has a biological older brother and a few foster siblings. Life is going to look very different moving forward as a family as we walk this journey of treatment and prolonged hospital stays. I absolutely hate asking for money, and yet I’m swallowing my pride right now because I will have to take significant time off of work and we will no longer have my income to contribute to our family finances. Any amount helps us with gas as we split time between the hospital and home, coffee as we will be exhausted, take out for easy meals when we have busy days, and comfort items for Lucas and the other kids as this is going to be a challenging scary time.
