The  current Chicago Vocational High School football team running back, Everett Henderson, #5, was shot shot Sat.  Sept 9,  2016, five times while on his porch as he was waiting to go to Gately to watch the Simeon vs Phillips game.

He had just finished playing 3 hours earlier. Everett was struck in the butt, hand twice, back  and the stomach. He has been in recovery status following the surgery and is up and talking. 

While he had several NCAA Division 1 schools showing interest, the senior cVs star's high school career is over as he will be using a wheel chair the next few months.
