Walk for Parkinson’s
Donation protected
My father, Steven C. Gregory, has been battling Parkinson's Disease for over a decade now. Within the last year, COVID-19 has drastically reduced his medical care and his ability to exercise. In September 2020, a surgery that was supposed to improve his quality of life, did the exact opposite. The surgeon messed up the surgery. As a result, my father's Parkinson's symptoms have impacted his day-to-day life drastically. With COVID-19 still lingering around, it's time to take a stand for my father. Exercise is one of the most excellent tools Parkinson's patients can utilize. Parkinson's patients can't always exercise outside. For various factors to include balance, weather, and symptoms they are experiencing that day. I want to provide my father the capability to exercise in his home.
Based on a study from 2016, a staggering 26,117 individuals died from Parkinson's Disease in the United States in 2016. On a daily average, that would equate to 71.55 Parkinson's patients dying each day.
My name is Charles J. Gregory. I have been serving in the United States Army as a Medic for the last seven years. I will be walking, running, and rucking the 71.55 miles, starting 23 April 2021 to 29 April 2021, to raise money for my father's exercise equipment and raise awareness for Parkinson's Disease. The exercises will be posted to my Facebook account. I am asking for $3,347 to be raised. The equipment will be at the link below. Anything additional will be donated to the Parkinson's Foundation, which is a nonprofit foundation.
Please feel free to join this journey with me. All donations are appreciated. Please share with your friends and family.
Very Respectfully,
Charles J. Gregory
