Almost one year ago my wife (the lovely and talented Miss Chick), slipped on the ice and shattered her ankle in three different places.

Since then she has been struggling to recover from this serious and unexpected injury which has been an on-going and very painful ordeal.

But the additional insult to injury has been the enormous costs of the emergency surgery. The over-all expense of the medical intervention totals more than $16,000, an amount far beyond our resources to deal with.

As a freelance underground artist my earning power relies on selling limited edition prints of my montage compositions, poster designs, album cover art for bands and one-of-a-kind original collage pieces for collectors.

After nearly a year of financial struggle to cover these completely unanticipated medical expenses, the wolf is at the door. So we are reaching out to our friends and fans who have been so supportive throughout this ordeal to ask for your kind donations to the cause.

Because of how the U.S. healthcare system works, Chick has been getting the runaround from the healthcare provider and Medi-cal, despite hours and hours of gathering and providing information, being on hold, explaining her situation over and over again to multiple agents, and has not been able to get either financial assistance or healthcare coverage.

Your valuable assistance is much appreciated, as it will help us to handle this situation once and for all, so that Chick can dedicate her time to continue our efforts to create community and advance the cause of Creativity and Art.

All funds will go directly to paying off this crushing medical expense.
