Hello!
My name is Bri; I’m a 21 year old senior student at Purdue University getting ready to complete my final year for my Bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a focus in history.
I’m passionate about my calling to the teaching profession because I enjoy watching students learn something new and watching them accomplish tasks they did not think they would be able to. I want to be a part of educating the future generations. History may be a boring subject to most, but it is how we got to where we are today and I will feel honored to be able to teach that to future students.
However, I need your help to finish my degree!
My family has recently run into financial troubles due to corporate downsizing. We have gotten some financial aid from FAFSA, however, it does not cover all of my tuition for the coming year. To help reduce costs for my parents, I commute to college for a period of 3 hours a day. So all that is left for my parents to pay is about 3,500 dollars. Anything extra that is made will go towards school supplies and gas money so I can get to school and take my courses and student teach!
