A Miracle for Matthew

Hi, my name is Tami Paseur and I am fundraising for the Ratcliffe Family.

HERE IS A BIT OF THEIR FAMILY'S STORY IN 2022.

B.J. and Andrea Ratcliffe are owners/operators of our county garbage disposal, Tri-County Waste Removal. This summer B.J. was rear-ended at 70mph and his 14k lb. garbage truck was flipped over on its side and was totaled. B.j. hasn't been able to work since his accident and it depleted one of their main working trucks. B.j. is having to keep up with many doctor appointments for himself at this time due to injuries he sustained in the accident. Andrea , his wife, was trying to run their business routes the best she could by herself while B.j. is unable to work. and their son, who is a 17-year-old junior at Franklin County High School in Winchester, TN. An avid football player with so much athletic potential and college offers to look forward to after graduation in 2024. A very humble soul and willing to help out anyone in need. An avid leader for his football team and school.

B.j.'s stepfather was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in August and after a month's stay in Vanderbilt ICU unfortunately passed away in October of 2022. Which devastated the entire family emotionally.

December 16th, 2022, Matthew was involved in a horrible car accident and had to be life-flighted to Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Matthew over the last 8 weeks has been moved to The Sheperd Center in Atlanta from Vanderbilt for rehabilitation. Matthew suffered 3 severe brain injuries and many other physical injuries as well. The doctors are currently trying to provide the best care possible for him at this time The hospital is a 4 hour drive from their family and friends in their hometown. B.j. & Andrea are currently in Atlanta to try and assist with his rehabilitation and physical/emotional needs. Matthew has a very long recovery ahead of him. B.J. and Andrea have been with him the whole time and the doctors keep reiterating how important it is for his family to be with him. Unfortunately, that means that neither one of them has been able to work during this family crisis

There is no source of income for them at this current time.

This family is one of my dearest and closest friends. They have had a lot of heartaches and financial strain that no one family should have had to endure in the past six months. All donations will go directly to the family to help with utilities, travel expenses, food and medical expenses to give Matthew the best opportunities available in his recovery process.
