It is now our third lockdown meaning times are not easy. Everyday whilst looking on the news at the moment you see another person has taken their life. This is why I am trying to make a change for my local area by supporting Solent Minds.
They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
Therefore, I am going to be running 5 kilometres every day starting from Sunday 10th January- Friday 8th Febuary. This will total 150KM and so I have set a fundraising target of £150 so I can try to get £1 for each kilometre I run overall. It is going to be a physically tough challenge and so if you see me at any point out on my run then don't be afraid to give me a wave and smile :) !
My friend Luke Archer will also be running the same event as me but from my home town of Kent and so we will be keeping in contact to see how we are doing during fundraisng activity and keeping each other motivated and hopefully can raise as much money as possible for our selected mind charities.
Any support is much appreciated and I am sure doing something like this in times like this may just raise enough money to save that extra persons life.
Thank You X
