Hi everyone,
My name is Breanna, and I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Australia in two major international Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions this year. This will be my very first time wearing the Green and Gold on the world stage. Something I’ve dreamed about since I was little.
As an Elite Athlete, I have been chosen by Gymnastics Australia to compete at:
Aphrodite Cup – Athens, Greece
16–23 March
Thiais Grand Prix – Thiais, France
2–6 April
Between these events, I’ll be continuing my training overseas in Bulgaria.
Last year, I placed 4th overall at the Australian National Championships, which helped me earn this opportunity. I’m especially honoured to be the only Senior Individual gymnast from Australia invited to the Thiais Grand Prix — a prestigious event in its own right!
Why I’m Asking for Your Support
Competing internationally is an amazing opportunity, but it also comes with significant costs. The total expected expenses are just over $15,000, which includes:
- Travel and accommodation ~ $5,500
- A portion of coach and judge costs ~ $5,700
- Training between competitions ~ $3,500
- Australian team uniform ~ $700
I’m exploring sponsorship options, but progress has been slow. That’s why I’m reaching out to my community — family, friends, and anyone who believes in supporting young athletes chasing big goals.
Outside of these international competitions, my family and I continue to cover all of the regular costs that come with being a rhythmic gymnast, such as training fees, leotards, equipment, competition registrations, state uniforms, and travel to required events within Australia (from WA to eastern states).
My family has supported me in this sport since I was little, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done to help me get this far.
I also haven’t included all of the expenses for the rest of the season, especially the interstate competitions — the Domestic Event in Brisbane, State Championships, and Nationals in Sydney — all while being based in Perth. How I perform in Greece, France, and at the Domestic Event will determine whether I’m selected for additional international competitions later in the year. If that happens, the overall costs for 2026 could increase significantly beyond what I’ve listed above.
This fundraiser is being managed by my dad, David, who is handling the financial side of my competitions. All funds raised will go directly towards my competition expenses, travel, training, and associated costs throughout the season.
How You Can Help
Any contribution, big or small, will help me get one step closer to representing Australia on the world stage. If you know individuals or organisations who might be interested in supporting me, including through sponsorship or branding opportunities, I’d love to connect.
Even messages of encouragement mean so much as I prepare for this next chapter.
This journey is part of my lived experience. I have worked incredibly hard to be where I am now. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m ready.
This year is my chance to show the world what I’m capable of; to put some miles on all my hard work and training.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting my journey. I can’t wait to step onto the international floor and make Australia proud!
— Breanna
