Hi, my name is Jiang Ming and I am fundraising for my family. We live in Gravesend, Brooklyn NY. On that fateful day, September 29, 2023, our lives were turned upside down by a relentless downpour that unleashed a deluge of water into our basement. The unrelenting rainwater, combined with blocked street sewers, led to a sewer backup that flooded our home. It was a moment of helplessness and despair as we watched the water rise, knowing the damage it would cause.

We rushed to relocate our cherished belongings to the first floor, but we couldn't save everything we hold dear. We tried tirelessly to pump out the water, but it seemed as if the universe had conspired against us, and the situation worsened with each passing moment.

Throughout this ordeal, we documented the heart-wrenching journey with pictures and videos. These visual records captured not only the initial devastation but also the resilience and determination we summoned in the face of adversity.

Today, we turn to you, our friends, family, and compassionate souls, with humility in our hearts. We're seeking your support to recover from this unexpected disaster. The funds we raise will go towards the painstaking process of water damage restoration, mold removal, and the daunting task of replacing what was lost, including new tables, chairs, furniture, essential electrical appliances, and the crucial heating system and boiler system.
