The summer after my first year of college, I thought I had the simple stomach flu, but It turned out that 2 feet of my intestines died and consumed eachother, due to 2 tumors and 2 lymphnodes that were found. On August 11th, my life changed forever, when I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Burkitt's Lymphoma, a really rare and agressive form of cancer, that if gone untreated, would be very fatal. I have been blessed with amazing friends, family, and doctors that are sure that they can cure me. However, my treatment requires me to stay in the hospital for at least three months, receiving extremely agressive chemotherapy, and agressive spinal chemotherapy injections. As an Eighteen year old, this is extremely frightening, and my mother has taken off on a family medical leave, in order to be there with me during these frightening times. However, my mother will not be getting paid, and all of my medical insurance is covered through her. I truly believe that I can use my experience with Cancer to influence others, and give back to Children who have to have their lives changed dramatically. But in order for me to be cured, I have to be able to afford the insurance, which I currently can not. Any donation right now, would be saving my life. Any excess monetary funds received will be donated to Lymphoma resarch and children's oncology. Together, you can give me the funds and strength to survive, finish my degree, and use my dreams to change the world. Thank you so much for your time.
