Oliver bought his first motorcycle on August 8th, 2016. Over the course of this past summer, Oliver worked many hours in all kinds of conditions to save up and purchase this motorcycle by himself. He found as much work as he could- painting houses, tearing up carpets, taking apart decks, and hauling things from one place to the other. By the end of the summer he'd saved enough money to purchase the bike of his dreams. Oliver began waking up extra early his last summer days just to get in a few extra hours with his motorcycle. School has just started and before leaving for college all I heard about was how excited he was to ride it to and from school. He'd also tell me the exploring he'd done for the day, or the friendly strangers he'd met and rode with. On Sunday, August 21st, Oliver was riding as he did everyday. While riding down a side street he felt a lot of heat on his legs. He looked down and saw flames. After pulling over and grabbing his phone, the motorcycle burst into flames. We are trying to raise money for Oliver to purchase a new motorcycle before the end of the fall riding season. Oliver watched all that he'd worked for go up in flames and now he has nothing.
