Help Peaches Pay His Hospital Bill

Meet Peaches the Wonder Cat. I've had dogs and cats throughout my adult life, but I've never had a pet like the Peach. He's a happy, healthy 3-yr. old, and a very special little guy. Last week he started acting frightened and aloof and stopped eating and drinking. I got him to the vet ASAP and his blood work revealed he was in renal failure and needed to get to the Vet Hospital ICU immediately. Normal kidney markers are from 10-30. His were 180. I was scared to death.
We thought he must have ingested a toxin, but it turns out he had a life-threatening kidney infection. With IV fluids, strong antibiotics and lots of TLC he rebounded and got better everyday. Remarkably, his numbers are normal again and last night I got to bring him home.
They saved his life - and mine. I've experienced so much loss these last years, and I'm about to undergo a total hip replacement, another major surgery I'm simply not prepared for. In this state of pain, stress and fear, losing him would've put me over the edge. But he's home safe to continue his recovery, attached at my hip and purring up a storm.
However, the cost of his hospitalization and treatment is an astronomical $4,000. I just can't cover this alone - and so this fundraising page. I feel truly embarrassed to ask for help, but this little guy is so worth it. He's the smartest, laugh out loud funniest, unceasingly clever, and most loving companion this single disabled woman has ever had.
