Please help our Coach and Friend by donating! This Wonderful man has coached my son in Baseball and has become a dear Friend! With his recent diagnosis of Colon Cancer, the financial burden is Real! The medical bills are piling up and Dave has not been able to work since July!

Dave Weissman is a Beloved 52 y.o. Husband, Father, Son, Coach, Colleague and Friend to so many and now he is in the Battle of his life! Dave is very well known in the Westerville Community. He is the JV Baseball Coach for Westerville South High School in Ohio. He didn't realize the impact he has had on these young men's lives, but I think he's starting too!

This is the Facebook post that Dave posted on Oct. 4th, 2016...

"Ok here goes... here is the news I was not prepared to get or have to share. The report from the doctor was devastating and not what I expected nor prayed for.""Appears that the secondary cancer in my head is due to the primary cancer mainly in my colon ... along with spots on my liver and my bones in my spine." "They said it is potentially stage 4 cancer so I will be needing every prayer warrior out there to pray and whatever else they can do.""On Tuesday we see another specialist to see about radiation for my head to help relieve some of the pain there so I don't lose sight in my left eye.""I'm going to fight like crazy and never give up.""But it was a total shock to me and I am pretty down right now." "Please pray for me and my family that this gets easier because seems that it gets harder each step of the way.""With me not drawing any income for the last three months (thank God Kim is working), inability to drive, lack of appetite and other things has not been the plan I had in mind, but the cards I have been dealt to deal with.""I will probably at some point need and be asking for help with rides (to potential radiation treatments), food, and even someone to come by and help with cutting the grass. (My Mom gets mad when it's not cut lol). I am not one to like to ask for things, but my wife and kids have done and are doing all they can, so if anyone can help with any of these things, please let me or Kim know.""I love my family so much and plan on being around for a long time with God's help."#Davestrong.

If you are friends with Dave on Facebook you can read about the events that are taking place. I will continue to update this campaign with Dave's progress. Dave remains very positive and upbeat while going through very intense radiation that started on Monday Oct. 10th, 2016.

Dave's Westerville South Baseball Family continues to rally around him and have put together a calendar to help out with meals, lawn care and driving Dave wherever he needs to be. Also, ordering "Davestrong" wristbands to sell and show our support!

Please, if you have taken the time to read this and feel compelled, make a donation to help Dave and his family (wife Kim, daughter Kelli and son Blake) in any way you can! Thank You!!!
