On August 1, 2025, 26-year-old Malachi Plocher was tragically electrocuted while working alongside his father and brother on a job site. His father heroically performed CPR and was able to revive him, but the damage done to Malachi's brain was too severe. He was airlifted to Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital where he was on life support. He passed away on Monday, August 4th.

Malachi was the devoted fiancé of Alexis Horneck and the proud father of a beautiful 2-month-old baby girl, Lainey. This young family's world has been turned upside down in an instant.
