Sadaqa Jariyah for Ahmed Kasem
Two years ago on April 21st, I lost my only brother and my parents lost their only son and youngest child. There are no words to describe the pain of his loss, but it’s really true what they say about how a death can reveal so much about those around us and we’re thankful for a community filled with love and support. I will always be grateful for the many people that came forward to support our family emotionally and spiritually in the last two years and generously provided sadaqa jariyah, to continue his legacy in the form of raising funds for charities, building wells and water systems, contributing to building mosques/community centers, sponsoring iftars at local mosques, and completing multiple umrahs and hajj on his behalf. Truly always in awe.
Losing Ahmed is a loss I (and so many) will never recover from, but continuing his legacy is a form of solace and a task I hope to continue to achieve as long as I can Inshallah.
During these last holy nights of the month, I ask that you keep Ahmed Kasem’s name on your tongue and in your thoughts as you make duaa, during your prayers and as you give in charity. This year his death memorial will be on the first day of Eid, and I know the day will be bittersweet for me and my family, So in his name, I would love to support a local mosque/community center that he and so many people benefited and continue to benefit from.
Please consider supporting this charity (or it could be any charity of your choice, in his name during these last few holy nights of the month. You and he will reap the reward, inshallah.
