Hello Everyone,
My name is Danalynn Streeter, and I am the charge nurse of the Operating Room's at Huntington Ambulatory Surgery Center. Another one of my staff members, Angie Cotton RN is facing a tremendous challenge. After experiencing cramps for about 3 weeks, Angie went in to see her doctor. She was put through a battery of tests to find out that she too needed a Radical Hysterectomy. This process happened very quickly and today, Angie had that surgery. During her very long surgery it was discovered that she has Uterine Cancer. When they tested her Lymph nodes they too were positive as the Cancer had made it's way into the Lymph system.
Angie is well loved by all of our staff. She is a constant source of positive energy and encouragement for all of us that get to work with her. It is her patients that continue to comment that she puts them first above all else as a true nurse does. She has such a gift to connect with them in such a way that they are put at ease before heading to surgery. It is now our turn to provide such care to Angie during this troubling time.
Angie is in need of our help as she has a long road to recovery. We are waiting to hear if Angie will need Chemo and Radiaton. Facing cancer is a very scary and overwhelming thing to have to go through.
Please join me in helping Angie Cotton. I am asking for those of you who would like to donate funds immediately to help Angie pay for medical expenses and cover some general expenses, as she will be off for an extended period of time going through treatment.
Your thoughts and prayers will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you,
Danalynn Streeter
