Help Rebuild Lives After Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica

Hi everyone,

We are health care workers in New Jersey reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of families in Jamaica who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. The storm tore through communities, destroying homes, flooding neighborhoods, and leaving many people without food, light, or shelter.

Many families have lost everything — their roofs, belongings, and in some cases, their entire homes. I’ve spoken with neighbors and friends who are struggling just to meet basic needs, and it’s truly heartbreaking.

We’re raising funds to help provide emergency supplies and home repairs for those affected. Your support will go directly toward:

• Groceries and essentials – canned foods, toiletries, baby items, and cleaning supplies

• Emergency items – flashlights, candles, batteries, and other necessities for areas still without electricity

• Home repairs and rebuilding – assisting families with materials to fix damaged roofs, walls, and rebuild homes destroyed by the hurricane
