On March 29th David had a major car accident. This resulted in a broken femur that required surgery including a steel plate and bone grafts.   In addition to a broken femur, he suffered a fractured ankle and torn ligaments in the wrist.  
A  week into the hospital stay, they found blood clots in the lungs which extended his hospital stay another week.
Insurance is only covering part of the hospital bill from the surgery and 2 week stay. The walker and wheelchair had to be paid for out of pocket as does the in home nurse visits.  
 Due to the recovery period, he will be unable to work for four to six months and has no income to cover any of these medical expenses.
