Please help my daddy!

Rodger Hutchison, my father, is the most loving and kind man
I know. While eating lunch with my mother he had a stroke right across the
table from her. Even though she was able to get him to the hospital within 20
minutes of having the stroke he still lost about 2/3 of the right half of his
brain. Upon arrival we were told that he was diabetic, although he was never
diagnosed before even though he underwent physicals annually. He was transferred
to Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento for treatment. After being in the
hospital for 3 days the swelling in his brain was threatening the remaining 1/3
of the right side of his brain. This 1/3 contained the centers that controlled
emotion, speech, vision, and the essence of who my father is. He was rushed
into surgery to have a craniotomy (where a bone flap is temporarily removed
from the skull to relieve pressure on the brain). It was a very risky surgery
and we didn't think he was going to make it, but if he didn't have the surgery
he also could have died or at least would never be himself again. Thankfully
the surgery went well and the remaining 1/3 of his brain was saved! Recovering
from a stroke and brain surgery will take months of physical and speech
therapy. He may never be able to walk again due to the damage the stroke caused
to the left side of his body. He will most likely need special beds and even a
different vehicle to get around in after recovery. I need to help pack up my
mom and dad's belongings because they no longer can afford to stay where they are.
There are lots of bills that need to be paid and absolutely no money coming in
due to my dad not being able to work and my mom needing to take care of him
right now. Please consider donating --no contribution is too small. The world
is a better place with my dad in it. On behalf of our family, Rodger and
myself, Thank you for taking the time to read our request. We cannot thank you
enough for your donations and prayers. Please feel free to share this site with
other friends, colleagues and family. We appreciate all the support we can get.
God bless!
