Hi, my name is Brittany and I’m Mitch’s niece. As some of Mitch’s family and friends may know about the devastating news, some may not. So I would like to do a little update on Mitch and his family.

Mitch has had a relapse with the MRSA infection he once had 12 years ago. Unfortunately, for the past month Mitch had been experiencing symptoms and didn’t know what was going on until it was too late. The MRSA has infected his arm again but has now also infected his lungs and blood stream. Mitch is currently in septic shock and is intubated in the ICU at the Corvallis hospital.

In the meantime, his wife Sara has been by his side everyday from morning to night. Driving back and forth from home to the hospital to be with Mitch then at night checking on their 3 kids. During this time neither parents are working.

This fundraiser is to help the Cornell family with expenses at home and with hospital bills that will be coming. Sara would like to say thank you to all the family and friends for the out pour of prayers and love that is being shared at this time.

Mitch is going to get through this. Anybody that knows him, knows how strong he is and how much he loves his family.
