Celebration of Life Expenses-other bills for Chas
Donation protected
Hello my name is Gracie. I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of the family of my boyfriend, Marine Veteran, Chas David Everette
who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, October 1st 2022. His family is planning a celebration of life but unfortunately during these incredibly tough times, money issues are making it difficult to honor this Young man’s life the way that they would like to.
Chas was one of the kindest souls to walk this earth. He had enough patience and tranquility for all of those around him at any given time regardless of the situation. He lived his life just the way he wanted to and he did not waste a single minute. Chas loved his family and friends, Motocross, Motorcycles, trying new foods, welding, turtles and taking in the smells and the scenery of the beautiful outdoors. He was goofy, compassionate, strong, calm but wild, hilarious and most importantly, a constant source of joy and adventure for those around him. He rode dirt bikes with his brother and his best friends several times each week growing up. He loved so deeply and you could tell how he felt about something just by looking in his eyes. He loved being around kids and channeling his inner child with them. He also had a deep love and talent for special needs children. This was something he felt very passionate about and involved himself in.
Chas was not a stranger to injuries and pain. Just 9 months prior, he was in a car accident with me, that left him with a broken leg and medical bills that his family is still dealing with today. Though that was also an incredibly difficult time, His family witnessed an incredible outpour of love from their community who aided tremendously in finding Chas and his brother’s missing dog, Ranger who was also involved in the accident. We are asking for that same type of love and support at this time.
The pain that this family is going through is inconceivable and they will never be able to fill the hole that Chas leaving our earth so quickly has left. His family and friends are deeply struggling with the fact that he was with everyone at one instant, and within 15 minutes, he was gone. However, they are all trying to take comfort in the fact that he was having the time of his life with his best friend in the moments leading up to his passing and he passed with joy in his heart. They want to begin the process and share his magnificent life with all those who were lucky enough to be a part of him, even for a short while. We are asking for any help at all to aid his family in covering the costs for his celebration of life and any left behind closure expenses. After all expenses are paid, any leftover proceeds will be donated to the National Save The Sea Turtle Foundation in Chas’s memory.
All proceeds will be going to his older brother, Daniel who is helping to work on and pay for the final arrangements for Chas. We want to help alleviate as many stressors as possible during this time for Daniel and his parents, Patty and Deryl so they can focus on grieving the loss of their dear Chas.
Thank you for taking the time and please know that absolutely anything helps including prayers.
