Laurel's Fire Assistance
Donation protected
Yesterday my daughter Laurel Roberts was the victim of a devastating residential fire. Her rental in Pueblo burned to the ground leaving her William and 9 month baby Hailee homeless with only the clothes on their back. This is a small loss compared to what could have happened due to the faulty wiring and hot water heater, we are thankful that they are all safe and sound. Had they not left when they did our hearts would be
irrevocably broken.
However, the devasting reality is that they have lost all of their household belongings, clothes, baby items, Laurel's new laptop for school, food, everything - it was a total loss. Any donations of baby items, adult clothing, toiletries, household furnishings, food, formula, diapers would be an incredible help to them as they try to rebuild.
They are working through the Red Cross and Catholic Charties to try and secure safe housing and trying to sparingly use the funds they do have to maintain temporary housing. If anyone has
an affordable rental available we would love to hear about it, as with most young families they are on a very tight budget.
Any monetary donations would be incredibly helpful to move forward with housing and replacemt of their entire household. The biggest help will be encouragement, they feel very vulnerable and stressed so if you have time to reach out and share your support please do.
We are a family that believes in the power of prayer so, we would ask that you remember Laurel, William and Hailee in your intentions.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read about Laurel's situation and we are deeply grateful for support in all forms.
