Hi my name is Skye and I’m a non binary trans masc artist looking to raise funds for gender affirming top surgery. I have been doing hrt (hormone replacement therapy) for almost 3 years and have been dreaming of the day I can get this surgery. I have been binding my chest for a long time and it has started to take a large toll on my physical and mental well being. I also deal with a lot of social anxiety this surgery would be such a boost in confidence and security.

I’m making the fundraiser to include the total cost of surgery and recovery costs. My partner, Mie, will be taking care of me and I would love to ease the stress of this time. We both work as freelance artists after loosing are jobs during the pandemic. We are really grateful we can support our selves this way but we are still at the point of having to hustle to make ends meet. Any support I can get really is so appreciated and means the world to me.

After a long time looking, I found a surgeon and got a date secured for late January and no matter what, I know that I need to make this happen for myself. Even if the full goal isn’t reached any amount will help to lighten the financial burden. It’s been a really long road to get to this point and I feel really thankful to the communities around me. I have honestly felt at times that this was an impossible dream but just being able to see my trans family and friends live their lives has been a huge inspiration to me.
