As many of you know, Doug Heider is an athletic and avid bicyclist.
Late in the evening on August 6th, he had a very serious bicycling accident.
Doug was flipped over the handlebars of his bike, and landed so hard, that he has broken vertebra in his mid- back. He also has a shoulder issue, and received several stitches in his face.
He will more than likely be undergoing surgery for his spinal injuries, and will have a long road of recovery ahead.
He currently is at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) in Minneapolis.
Because of the seriousness of his injuries, and the length of his recovery, he will need all your prayers, help and hope.
He also needs funds to be able to cover the costs of his medical bills, and his other financial obligations, as he will be unable to financially provide for himself if he undergoes surgery, remains hospitalized, and receives the necessary therapies and treatments on his long road to recovery.
At this time, there is no set time line for how long that will take.
The financial goal is very large, because the are a lot of unknowns as to what his ongoing needs will be.
