Racing 2 Recovery for Lennox Mobley

As many of you may know, last Saturday, September 5, 2020 there was a freak accident that took place at Port Royal Speedway, where 4 year old, Lennox Mobley, was severely burned and hospitalized. 

Racing is our life and our entire family have been involved in racing for generations, especially, my cousin, Courtney Mobley, and her husband, Cody Mobley, along with their two precious children; Lona and Lennox.  Like many Saturdays, the Mobley family gathered at the races to watch their favorite driver, Rick Eckert. As the car was being fueled, static electricity caused the fuel to catch fire, and the fire traveled into the trailer severely burning Lennox, while he was playing with his cars. Luckily, his father, Cody Mobley, was close by to run through the flames, grab Lennox, and smother the fire, using the shirt on his very own back.  Lennox was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Burn Center, where he was in serious condition in the ICU. His Mom and Dad stayed right by his side, and his grandpa, Rick Eckert, sat in the parking lot (due to the Covid-19 policies) anticipating the health of his grandson.  Lennox’s big sister, Lona, has been in the care of their grandma, Kristal Eckert, anxiously awaiting for Lennox to return home.  Each day Lennox is progressing, but still has a long road to recovery.
