Natalia's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On Behalf of Natalia Grass and her loving family (Shelagh, Konrad, and Ariana):

On Sunday March 20, 2016 Natalia Grass had an accident at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort that resulted in a fracture to her C6 vertebrae. She was quickly airlifted off the mountain to the Golden General Hospital, transported to Lake Louise via ambulance, and from there was airlifted by STARS to Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. She underwent surgery to remove the fractured pieces from her vertebrae and insert a plate in her ankle to repair a broken tibia. Natalia is now at the Alberta Children's Hospital. She has her youth and strong spirit on her side, but unfortunately her already long-term recovery process has been set back by a bout of severe pneumonia, which has made it difficult to begin physical rehabilitation. While the long-run prognosis on Natalia's injuries and paralysis (she currently has limited movement of only her arms and hands) is still uncertain, her family maintains a positive outlook and are extremely grateful for everyone’s love, support, and prayers.

The financial toll that this accident will take on Natalia's family is immense. We have created this fund to help ease their stress, and to allow the family to focus their love and energy on Natalia’s recovery. Any support for the Grass family will make an enormous difference; no amount is too small.

We ask you to please share this with as many avenues as possible, as we know the Grass Family has many friends throughout this community and beyond.  We will share updates here throughout Natalia's recovery.
