Cali is a nearly 3 year old border collie who is a total sweetheart. Our baby girl was attacked by 2 small offlead dogs Saturday morning 10th May in Forfar. I tried to protect our girl Cali by kicking the dogs but I couldn't get them both away, she was petrified and slipped her collar and lead and ran away from me with the 2 dogs chasing her. She limped all the way home with a broken paw.

We took her straight to the emergency vet where we were charged £1,940 for sedation, painkillers and an X-ray. She has a broken paw in a difficult place, there could be complications and it will be a more expensive procedure than to amputate it. Our pet insurance covers us for up to £3,000 and we are now looking at a £5,000+ vet bill.

We will not get any money from the lady who's dogs attacked her as she lives in sheltered housing and is addicted to drugs. Anything would help us, we love her so much she is our entire life and we would do anything for her.
