Urgent Needs for a Family Overcoming Devastation
Donation protected
My name is Chrissy for anyone that doesn't know. I'm a single mother of 2 girls. One just turned 16 and the other just turned 11. I live in Florida and recently lost all my belongings to Hurricane Helene. My babies and I are physically okay but mentally, we are shattered. I have never had a problem staying strong and keeping one foot in front of the other, but this time, I can't even think of what we need in the moment. I can't tell you my kids' sizes in this moment. My brain has shut down and I don't know what else to do but ask for prayers first and any donations to help for immediate needs that come up. I can say the things I carried to the curb and could process today.
We lost every bed in the house, we lost every piece of furniture we own in every single room, we lost TVs, we are trying to wash and salvage clothes, both my big saws, every power tool I own which was a lot, every piece of furniture I hand-built with said tools, my mower, my weed whacker, possibly my washer and dryer, and every kitchen thing you can think of: KitchenAid, Ninja grills, plates, pots, and pans. It's bad. To top this all off, on our final trip home today from working on getting everything out, my daughter's car I just gave her for her birthday last year started acting up.
To watch the devastation on my daughters' faces was almost impossible. I don't know how to fix this for them. I don't know what to do next. I hope whoever is affected by this gets all the resources they need; this is devastating. Thank you for staying to read our story and God bless anyone who prays for us or donates!
Funds will be used for immediate needs such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, school stuff for the girls such as backpacks, paper, pencils. When the house structure gets fixed and we can go home beds, possibly a hotel if needed, food, the girls hair care, taes homecoming coming up, and anything to help us just get to tomorrow each day.
A huge thanks again from
The girls and myself!
