Genetic Testing For Dustin

My name is Kylie, I'm raising money for my little brother, Dustin. At age seven (he is now ten) my brother was diagnosed with a genetic disease known as Leukodystrophy, (There is a link to further information on the disease below.) it affects the growth of the white matter in your brain and myelin sheath (which is a protective layer of your nervous system). Here is an explanation from my mother, Jayna Rollings; " The cost for genetic testing is not covered by our insurance because Leukodystrophy is a rare, terminal disease with no known cure and they don't see it as a worthwhile expense. However, doctors are discovering new treatments for certain types of Leukodystrophies and my little boy's life is worth fighting for!" There are many diverse kinds of Leukodystrophy and each has a different effect on life. If we could afford to get my brother this testing, we could better prepare him for future struggles, and have a better understanding of his disabilities.
