Our Dad, Glenn was a kind hearted soul with love for all. On April 26, 2016 my sister Kristina, and I received a phone call that nothing in this world could prepare us for. Our Dad was gone without warning, so suddenly and very much unexpected.
Dad was a beloved father to my sister and me. He was also a loved papaw, son, uncle, cousin and friend. He was very proud of his two grandchildren, Zoe and Gauge. He loved his family whole heartedly and selflessly. Dad was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger with no questions asked. He was an avid hunter of all things, he was a craftsman of wood, loved cars, loved painting cars, and loved being outside.
Everyone has great memories of Dad, and I doubt anyone could say anything bad about him. He always had a smile on his face. Everyone keeps asking how they can help us through this and let me state we are not the type of people who would ask for help, however, now we need the help of our family and friends. The cost of a funeral is more than we had anticipated. Unfortunately, he didn't have any life insurance. Therefore, the weight is on our shoulders. We want to give Dad the best, because he gave us his best. Instead of sending flowers, we would like to ask for help with these expenses. My sister and I would appreciate anything you could offer to us.
We want to thank you in advance for your generosity, your love, support and kind words through this dark time in our lives. No one can prepare you for the loss of a parent, who was taken so young in life. At 34 and 33 years old, we wouldn't have dreamed we would be forced into saying goodbye and laying our Dad to rest.
We love you Dad and we will miss you, thank you for being an amazing Dad!
Services for Dad will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 and Nurre Funeral Home, 315 W Plane St. Bethel, Oh 45106 at 9 am. Funeral procession to follow after service to his final resting place at Williamsburg Cemetery on Gay Street, Williamsburg, Oh.
