Hi, Im Donna (Robert's sister)

This is Robert's story:

About 3months ago Robert (34yrs) started having pain in his rib. Playing soccer he thought it was just an injury, fractured or broken rib. He continued on playing and training as the pain was bareable and it would probably go away in time, however the season finished and the pain got worse.

Time went on and after doing work in the yard he felt like he pulled something and the pain just increased. He finally went and got an Xray with doctors referral and they asked him to stay and get a further CT scan.

He thought nothing of it, scans came back and he booked into the doctors for the results. That day at the doctors his heart sank as he heard the news that they had found 3x growths, one being his rib and the other two in his chest area, this ment more scans and blood tests. To all our relief they didnt find anymore growths and the bloods came back good, which is a positive sign. Then came the biopsy, a week later. They could only get to the growth growing around his rib, thankfully the biopsy was a success, with great samples.

The day came for the results where all our worlds turned up side down. Robert has been diagnosed with HODGKINS LYMPHOMA.

He is now booked for a specialist app to look at treatment options and what stage the cancer is.
