Lawrence Ashford Benefit

For those of you that know Lawrence, Laura and Chase Ashford I do not need to tell you how wonderful of a family they are. This family has never asked for anything from anyone and would give the shirt off their back to help anyone in need. This is their story as told by Laura Ashford. We are raising money for the Ashfords to help with medical bills and other medical related expenses. From Laura Ashford to friends and family:
I started dating Lawrence Ashford at the age of 15. We dated all through high school and graduated North Lamar together in 1988. We went on to get married in 1990 at age 20. By the Grace of God he has managed to put up with me for 26 years and we have one beautiful son. Lawrence gave his life to Christ last year and was baptized in August. As Fall went on, he started having back and abdominal pain. Multiple CT scans and an MRI showed nothing. Finally, in February 2016 he had a CT scan showing a mass in his pancreas and liver. March 2nd we made a trip to Plano Medical Center where our worst fears were confirmed. At the age of 46 he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer with metastasis to the liver and lymph nodes. The prognosis for this type of cancer is very poor. Even so, he had his 1st Chemo treatment March 29th and will continue to have Chemo every other week. He remains in high spirits and is as always wonderful to be around. I would like to ask everyone to hit their knees and ask our Lord if it is His will that Lawrence will be the one He saves as I cannot imagine my life without this wonderful sweet man.
