Hi guys,

On Monday, Koda was hit by a truck. He has been in the hospital, healing surprisingly miraculously. We were handling the impact of the vet bill well until they required surgery for his hip, which we were hopeful was going to be avoided.

Koda came to us in April of 2024 from Texas. We celebrated his first birthday last month. He is the sweetest boy, wild and energetic, but he has two babies at home that he watches out for, and he is a huge mama's boy.

We were strongly encouraged to create a GoFundMe. It is very unlike us to ask for this kind of help, but Koda has fought so hard and he will have a great quality of life after the procedure. I cannot imagine losing him after what we went through together Monday, so I'm willing to let my guard down and ask for help.

The amount we're trying to raise is only a fraction of the costs, and he will need physical therapy in order to heal his hip well but anything helping us lighten the load, we are beyond grateful for.
