My name is Daphne Sandefur. My daughter, Monique, has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 endometrial cancer. While healing from a hysterectomy, we found out the cancer had already spread to her lymph nodes before tumor that started this journey was discovered. The doctors are now taking an aggressive approach to reduce the possibility of the cancer coming back once Monique is in remission.
Monique will have 6 sessions of chemotherapy in 3-week intervals. Just one of the 3 medications costs $96,000. Also, at some point during or after chemotherapy, she'll be doing 5 weeks of daily radiation. She's not sure how much her health insurance is going to cover, and she'll be out of work for most of her treatment due to her lowered immune system.
I'm hoping to help offset some medical expenses, like copays and her deductibles, so as not to have her worry about financial burdens while going through chemotherapy and radiation.
Monique will be working (as much as her body will allow) through her portions of chemotherapy cycles, and I'd like her attention to stay steadfast on her health and well-being. For her health and safety it would be better for her to use a car service to take her back and forth to work and to her appointments, than it would be to use public transportation. The cost of each of those rides can be anywhere between $15 and $25 each. It may also be helpful to have a service come by once a month for a deep clean of her living space.
Any help that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.
