Yesterday was an extremely tough day for my family. The house that we all grew up in, the house where we've made most of our memories with family and friends, and the house that my sister, brother, cousin, nieces and nephews currently resided in, went up in flames.
It happened around 10am and THANK GOD nobody was at home. We received the tragic call from the neighbors that the house was on fire and that the fire department was on their way but unfortunately, they took a little too long. Everything upstairs was damaged by the smoke and fire and the girls room was the worst, the floor caved into the kitchen destroying everything there as well. Clothes, shoes, valuables, personal belongings, toys and everything that made up their lives was completely destroyed if not by the flames, by the smoke. For those of you who know us, know my sister's dog Chloe, and unfortunately, the smoke got to her too. She didn't make it. We are all devestated over losing her. This has been such a tragedy for not only my family that resided there but for all of us who called this our "Family Home".
We are a tight family, and emotionally, we will all get through this together, but we are reaching out to ask for help because financially, it's impossible. Our family is having to start all over. Anything given is extremely appreciated in this desperate time of need. Speaking on behalf of my family who lived there, I know how thankful they will all be to those who can help. And if you can't help financially but have some stuff you would like to donate then please reach out to one of us and we can work something out. They left with nothing but the clothes on their backs so please, everything and anything is a blessing. Thank you.
