Pay It Forward for Haiti (DONATION LIST AT BOTTOM)
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our GoFundMe. As you know, on October 6th, many Caribbean islands encountered devastation in the form of Hurricane Matthew, with Haiti being hit the hardest, the current death toll at over 800 deceased and over 250,000 people displaced. In the past, supposedly “reputable” organizations like the American Red Cross, which collected half a billion dollars in donations for Haiti, have proven themselves to be vultures, just waiting for tragedy to strike the much beleaguered island nation in order to exploit their pain and cash in. So how does Pay It Forward for Haiti fit it?
Pay It Forward for Haiti (PIFFH) is a grassroots collective of Black women across the U.S. and Canada who have come together with Haitians in the group to give supplies and assistance to those who need it the most. The fact of the matter is, getting to Haiti immediately, while preferable, simply isn’t possible for anyone who isn’t affiliated with a major organization. PIFFH’s goal is to use this collective and harness the power of social media to collect supplies and send them as quickly as possible (in the coming months), making sure to hand-deliver the items to those in need and reassure all donors and financial contributors that their goods and money are being utilized for exactly the purpose of relief for the Haitian people.
Below, you’ll find out Amazon wishlist, where you can hand-pick items to be donated; no guesswork, no hassle.

For those who are taking donations, we ask that you ship us the items on our donations list at the bottom, and only those items. Please email [email redacted]
to contact us so that we may give you the drop off location in your area.
If you're in or near Brooklyn, NY, please contact Anneka Jacobs at [email redacted] to schedule a drop-off.
We will update all contributors with a date where our members will be going to Haiti with the supplies as our donations grow and that time moves closer.
(Paste address here, preferably a P.O. Box under the name of Naphtah and the other individual who is dealing with shipping barrels.)
Any money raised through this GoFundMe will be used solely to buy more supplies, ship those supplies (pay shipping and customs fees), and pay the airfare for two of our collective’s members to fly to Haiti to oversee the fair and even distribution of all items to the areas and people most in need (i.e. rural areas, orphanages, the elderly, and the disabled). We plan to have complete and total transparency with all of our generous benefactors and will keep everyone updated via the PIFFH FaceBook page with receipts for everything we purchase (including shipping and airfare), photos and live videos of our progress, as well as short vlogs from those who are personally going to Haiti to distribute. We will update this GoFundMe with our progress as well and have a definite date for the shipping of all donated goods as we move closer to our goals.
Thanks so much for opening your hearts and your wallets to our humble endeavor. We won’t let you down.
