Thank you for looking at our gofundme page.  I am Kathy Ponce a client of Amber Meytch the owner of the recently opened Local Roots Beautique located at 9B Anastasia Blvd, Saint Augustine, Florida.

Just a few short months ago, Amber with the help of her husband, Ray Meytch a National Guard Veteran, and her grandfather was able to fulfill her dream of owning her own salon. Doing the bulk of the work themselves, they poured blood, sweat, tears, and nearly every spare dime they had into the renovation of the interior of the building they rent a block from the Bridge of Lions. From the hand cut ceiling tiles to the hand painted floor the results were astounding!

She created a uniquely classic and chic atmosphere for clients to relax and be pampered.
Just take a look at the beautiful results.
Sadly the beautique was flooded during hurricane Matthew causing very extensive damage.
Everything below a few feet was floating in water!

The money donated will be used to purchase new sheet rock, wall and floor paint, reupholster or replace salon chairs depending on the damage as well as the antique waiting area furniture , replace water damaged appliances, and tools of the trade just to name of few things.
