When it rains it often pours, and opportunity doesn't always come at the most opportune times. And this seems to be my time for things to break. So, I am going out on a limb here and ask you for help.
Sometime last winter my heat pump went out. I did not discover this until April when western Washington hit record highs and my A/C didn't work. Suddenly, I realized why my power bills were so high during the winter.
Well, I really had no idea where to start. Then through a series of events I got a referral from a family member for someowho can help me. I have had a number of bids, from $5000 to 14,000. Then today I was presented with the opportunity to get a new compressor for $1600 OR a brand new heat pump(installed and warranteed) for $1700.... The math is pretty simple here on which deal make the most sense. There is only one left, it has been offered to me at a very, very low price and needs to be acted on NOW. My current furnace cannot effectively or efficiently heat my house in the winter without this heat pump. Last winter my monthly bill was about $150 more per month without it.
So, instead of just resigning to the fact that, even at this amazing deal, I still can't afford it right now, I am laying it out before my friends and family.
