Hi, my name is Algeria Wise and I’m fundraising for myself. Sounds silly but I’m in desperate need of help. About a year or so I moved from my hometown of Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC because my

job closed its location in SC and consolidated locations to Charlotte. Never did i imagine that after getting settled I would get sick. I began having dizzy spells that lasted for days and extremely painful headaches. I went to the ER one night and everything for me changed. I was diagnosed with Vestibular Migraines and Hydrocephalus. Trying my best to maintain my recently diagnosed and work full time I was let go from my employer of 8 years for performance. The same employer I moved my entire life for. Ive been devastated since June 11, 2025. I have filed for unemployment but it has been denied. I filed for an appeal but I have not received a hearing date as of now. I did receive a job offer that I happily accepted however it does not start until September 2025. I’m asking for assistance because Crisis Ministries well as DSS does not have the available resources to help me. My dependence is not considered children but my pets are my family. I really need to keep my current home and car especially having my pets with me. I know times are tough for most but I never imagined during my

time of recovery I would lose my only income of 8 years in a city that is new to me. Anything will help and is greatly appreciated during my time of need.
