Hello,
We have started this campaign in hopes of raising some money for Krystina. On Sunday, 10/09/16, Krystina received the horrible news that no one ever wants to hear. Her mom, Jodi, had passed after a very short fight with cancer. Jodi was diagnosed in August with lung cancer and was being treated at Sloan Cancer Center and Staten Island Hospital. Over the last 2 months, the cancer spread extremely fast affecting her liver and bile duct which eventually caused her liver to fail and cardiac arrest at only 54 years old. This comes just 3 short years after Krystina lost her father to a heart attack.
We decided to start this account after many of her close friends asked, "how can I help"? We feel this is the best way to show our support for Krystina during this sad time. As you all know, Krystina works in the service industry and relies heavily on tips as her main income. As Krystina takes time off of work to grieve and handle all of the arrangements for her mother, not having income will only add unneeded stress during this troubling time. All of the money from your donation will be used by Krystina to help cover the expenses of this horrible tragedy and give her the time to grieve without worrying about her personal expenses and rushing to return to work.
