Our dear friend, Wanda, while still in the throws of grieving the loss of her 41-year-old son, Eric, back in September 2015 and along with losing her job in January of this year, received a diagnosis of stage 4 Ovarian cancer in May. The cancer had also spread to the spleen, lymph nodes, abdomen and neck.

Even with a bleak prognosis, Wanda is a fighter. Her team of doctors has set a very aggressive treatment plan. She is currently healing from surgery to remove a large mass, the ovaries and lymph nodes. She is now preparing for her fourth round of chemotherapy with two more rounds to follow.

It is difficult for a 68-year-old woman to find work, but Wanda does have a job waiting for her after this painful ordeal. She is not able to work during this treatment process. She is need of help to pay for the basic necessities of life - rent, groceries, co-pays, deductibles, medical equipment – the list is endless and the bills are mounting.

We would like to help Wanda further focus on beating this horrible disease without having to worry about the financial stress.
