Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. My name is Kristyn Konal, and I am an English and performing arts teacher at Cabrini High School, as well as the co-director and producer of the Cabrini Monarch Theatre Troupe’s theatrical performances. The Cabrini Monarch Theatre Troupe’s productions have become a staple of Cabrini student life, and a sought after event within the Allen Park community each fall and spring for many years. Our theatre program is an integral part of our community, as it brings together students, teachers, parishioners, families, and local businesses from all walks of life through the joy of the performing arts. The Cabrini Monarch Theatre Troupe is a point of pride for our schools and our parish, and it is one of the many parts of Cabrini life that makes our schools so special.In recent years our parish has faced financial hardship, and as a result, the Cabrini Monarch Theatre Troupe no longer has funding to produce our plays. While I am blessed to have the unwavering support, tireless efforts, and unbelievable generosity of the students and their families, we cannot achieve our fundraising goals alone. That is why I have created this page—I am reaching out to all of you to help us keep our theatre program alive and thriving. The money we raise will go toward purchasing the following items: the rights to our shows, building materials for constructing sets and props, costume rental and/or fabric for costume creation, technical equipment and expenses, stage makeup, and ink and paper for advertising/flyer distribution/programs. Our spring musicals also carry the additional costs of hiring a musical director, choreographer, and musicians to play in the pit orchestra.All members of the Cabrini Monarch Theatre Troupe are incredibly grateful for any donations you are able to give.
