Help my furbaby EMMA !
Donation protected
My sweet baby, Emma, has a fast growing tumor on her bottom lip. We noticed it about 4 weeks ago and watched it double in size overnight. My husband, Scott, and I took Emma to the vet and they decided she needed a biopsy immediately! Well we did the biospy and the news was not what I had wanted to hear. At the time they were unsure of the type of cancer but squamous cell carcinoma was the top pick. We then had to take Emma to the LSU Vet Clinic in Baton Rouge, La to see the vet oncologist....I hate cancer and can't even imagine ever needing the services of a vet oncologist!! They basically told us our options which included scans, surgery and radiation. I had already decided I would never but Emma in any pain or suffering! She has been such a sweet baby to me...as most of you know I have been through 2 transplants, a heart attack, and diabetes since I was 7! I can handle being sick myself but when it comes to my baby, I can't even imagine nor handle it very well. There has been a lot of tears in the past couple of weeks at my house, but through it all I have had the support of my family and friends! After talking with the vet more and receiving the final report we have decided to do the scans and have the tumor removed. The vet has told us that since Emma is young she should handle the surgery very well and be able to live a normal long life after the tumor is removed!! My prayers have been answered, although I had rather her tumor been benign this is the next best thing!!! With this decision comes a lot of expense! I am asking for your help! If I can get 500 people to donate $10 I could raise the surgery and scan amount!!! I have already decided that what I raise and don't use I am going to donate to my local animal shelter. I can't tell you enough how much I Iove Emma and truly belive God has given us a gift through our pets! Emma has a best friend, Ella, that would be so upset to see her BFF gone! Please help Emma if you can! I thank you all so much!!!
