A close childhood Friend of mine has a rare syndrome called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS).

"Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is the name for a group of rare inherited conditions that affect connective tissue. Connective tissues provide support in skin, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, internal organs and bones."

To learn more about EDS click on the following link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ehlers–Danlos_syndrome

Some of you may know her. Her name is Joy Somerson-Cade. We went to school together at Morgan Park Academy, Graduating Class of 1989!

Joy is a loving stay at home Mom with two beautiful young children and is currently battling EDS. She has had multiple spinal fusion surgeries and needs more surgeries in the near future. I have set up this GoFundMe account on her behalf to help her with her mounting medical bills.

Sadly Joy's two children are showing early signs of EDS and also need medical attention.

Please donate whatever you can. It is much appreciate by Joy and her family!

Please also feel free to share this post with anyone you think might be interested in helping Joy and her two children.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Joy.

Thank you,
Carrie Panagakis Bharucha
