Memorial for Baby Coda
Donation protected
Coda Michael Summerville was a bundle of joy for his mother Melody, grandmother Angel, great grandmother Joy, and great great grandmother Meci . Coda had many challenges in the short 3 1/2 months of his life, with a neurological defect that prevent him from seeing properly, he was virtually blind. He had issues with his legs and spine. But the family was pulling together and seeking the proper medical attention necessary to give him all he needed for a good life. As the family gathered today to celebrate the birthdays of 2 other grandchildren of Coda's generation we got the news that no parent should ever get. At 7:00 am this morning when Melody went to check on her three children, she found Coda unresponsive and cold. 911 was called, CPR administered but when little Coda reached the hospital he was pronounced dead. There is no way to express the shock and sadness we are all feeling. Melody is just starting the grieving process and needs all of our help. Friends and family we need help to provide a dignified memorial service and burial for Coda. We ask you to give whatever you can to lessen the burden on Melody and her remaining 2 children. Thank you for your help. All monies raised will be used for funeral expenses. We are handling all of the arrangements for our niece and are paying the funeral home directly. Charlotte Memorial Funeral home and Cemetery have been absolutely wonderful and donated tremendously of their time and services.
