Well, this is my story. We had our future finances all planned for our retirement. My mom died so l had to sell her house on the lake so I could payoff my house mortgage and put retirement money aside. We called Darryl Sanford at Home solutions and that would be our biggest mistake of our life. Eventually he went bankrupt and we lost $168,000 and my mom's house!!! The court said there was nothing we could do. Everything Darryl did in his business was a scam and he got away with all of it. (Long story)
Now I am retired and collecting social security and a pension. My husband is now permanently disabled with permanent nerve damage and other illnesses. He is not old enough to retire and cannot get disability. He tried to get SSI and they said I make $50.00 too much! At the SS office they told him to get a divorce or get a legal separation and move out! What! we have been married 24 years!!! To get money they wanted us to lie and steal from the government. Before I retired I bought a 2004 Dodge Durango 4 wheel drive because where I live winters are bad. 6 months ago my engine blew in Auburn. It had to be sent to the scrap yard. We live in the country and there is no public transportation. Our friends give us rides but but they live 25-30 miles away. All our doctors are in Auburn and Syracuse. Also our prescriptions are in Auburn. Both cities are 25 and 30 miles from our house. This is very hard for us to ask but we have run out of options. We have always done our best to help others but now we need help. We understand that times are hard these days for everyone. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.
