Help Reggie Kick Cancer's Butt!

Hi everyone!

Let me start off by introducing myself! My name is Regan Remy and I'm a friend of Reggie and Nichelle's. When I heard what was going on with Reggie I really wanted to help, and since I'm web savvy I offered to put a gofundme together.

I run a dance company and would not be able to do so without the passion and talent of Nichelle Bane. She has created beautiful choreography for our shows since 2012. Her kindness, creativity and ability to turn a bunch of dancers into a family has changed my company forever. When I saw her overflowing happiness in the months after she met Reggie I was so happy for her! I was thrilled when they got married, and even played harp for the ceremony.

The shock of cancer in their first month's of wedded bliss seems like the most unfair thing on earth. To make it worse, our business is seasonal. Nichelle works hard all year, except for the summer.  In the summer they rely on Reggies work as a (totally kickass) golf instructor.

Unfortunately this summer Reggie will be undergoing treatment for stage 3 colon cancer.

Which is why I decided to create a way for the community that loves and upholds Reggie and Nichelle to contribute to their expenses during this time.

We are working to get Reggie in the VA system, which will save a lot of money... As you all know insurance coverage only goes so far. We looked at the numbers and came up with enough to pay their rent, food and medical bills through the summer. In the fall, Reggie will be on the mend, and Nichelle will be teaching once more. And with your help, all they will need to worry about in the next few months is kicking cancers butt.

Let me turn this over to the man himself, Reggie.

*********************************************************

My name is Reggie "PinHi" Pinuelas. Born in Coalinga, Ca. April 12th, 1962 to Eulojio aka "Baby" Aguilar Pinuelas & Berta Cortez Mason.

One of several Mexican migrant families. That frequently traveled for work in the fields between Coalinga & El Centro, Ca. For years they followed seasonal crops until I was about two. Mom finally decided to settle down and plant some roots of our own in El Centro.

Our family became cement Mason's with a new start. For many years, We built this city!!! Lol

It seems I've been a man on a mission my whole life. Always on the go. Heck even from the beginning. When I astonished all of the doctors. Because, I started walking in 7 months. Which was unheard of in '62. Well since then I've never looked back. Anybody that knows me. Knows that I never stop chasing my dreams. Never a dull moment here. I've got lots of new ideas & something always going on.

We all know. Life does not come as an easy thing. Might seem that way sometimes. But it's really a true test of your honor, emotions, your deepest fears, your strengths and your pride. Like a roller coaster of ups and downs, twists and turns, loop the loops. And yes it sometimes it gets off track. And that's never any good . Life Tuff? Yes!!! Especially, when you've come from one of the armpits of America. I'm sorry El Centro. I love you but hey? Reality, honestly I never thought I'd make it to 21. And if I did I would end up in jail for a long time. Perhaps joining the USAF at 17 yrs old helped.

Certainly at the time was the best thing for me.

Now 54 years old living in Los Angeles. It's still not easy. Our life goes on and here we are. I've done good and bad along the way. I will not hide from the truth. I've asked for forgiveness and found my peace with God. Still the battle that life is. I've had my share of fights. I won some and I've lost some. Like us all we carry-on. When the good things come we enjoy, we learn from them, we grow from them. The same with the bad. It makes us who we are today.

I'm a lover, fighter and a survivor. Like many of us.

I've had a lot of good things happen in the last few years. I even got married!! Again!!!

Now, I'm in a real fight.

A fight for my life. OMG!CANCER! Are you kidding?

I'm terrified of this thing they call cancer. But I will not. Repeat, I will not let it get me. I will conquer this thing. I will kick it in the ass. I'm gonna give it "The PinHi Punch" & get it out of my body. I know I can't go wrong with the help of my Savior, my Wife Nichelle, my Family & Friends. I will make it. The power is in numbers. So keep me in your prayers, and stay tuned. It's just the beginning!
