I am Jamie's sister, Carrie, and I am starting this GoFundMe Campaign to help Jamie and her family with medical related expenses for her son, my nephew, Dylan.
Dylan was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. This disorder has caused him to be hospitalized many times due to seizures and collapsed lungs which has required surgeries. Dylan is currently in Mott's Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
While Jamie is at the hospital with Dylan she is unable to work. I hope that the money raised by family and friends will help Jamie and Craig with medical related expenses such as bills, meals, and gas for getting to and from doctors appointments and the hospital. I put the goal as $5000 only because they make you request a goal amount. This donation wouldn't be a one-time thing...you would be helping them from past and possible future hospital stays/work loss. Any amount received would be wonderful and appreciated.
Most of us may have asked ourselves, "What can I do to help?" This is a great chance for you to show Jamie, Craig, and their kids that there are people wanting to help and they are not alone. I live hundreds of miles from Jamie so I am unable to help them by being there. Many of you are busy with your own families and work so you might be saying the same thing. Any help they can get will help ease their stress immensly and will help them to focus more on what's important, and that is getting Dylan healthy again. But above all, please continue praying for Dylan and his family.
